Eligibility Criteria for the Khalifa University Scholarships 2024:
Criteria for the master’s program and PhD program and combined master’s and PhD program are different.
Master’s Degree Program Applicants
- Applicants must have completed their bachelor’s degree with a minimum CGPA of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0.
- Furthermore, the institute requires an English proficiency certificate in the form of either; an iBT TOEFL score of 91 or equivalent, or academic IELTS score of 6.5 overall, or a 1550 EmSAT English score.
- Applicants must have a minimum score of 150 in the GRE (graduate record examination).
- Lastly, they must appear for the admission interview.
Doctorate Degree Applicants:
- Students must have completed their master’s degree with a CGPA of 3.25 in a relevant discipline.
- Furthermore, the institute requires an English proficiency certificate in the form of either; an iBT TOEFL score of 91 or equivalent, or academic IELTS score of 6.5 overall, or a 1550 EmSAT English score.
- Applicants must have a minimum score of 150 in the GRE (graduate record examination).
- Applicants must appear in the admission interview.

Benefits of the Khalifa University Postgraduate Scholarships 2024 in UAE:
Masters Program:
There are 4 different levels of Khalifa University postgraduate scholarships. These levels are divided into Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, and Tier IV.
- Full coverage of tuition fees will be provided to Tier I and II scholars. Tier III scholars will get a 50% waiver of tuition fees.
- All the scholars will get textbooks that will be provided by the University.
- Free University accommodation for eligible full-time students of tier I and II only.
- Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University will be provided to all level scholars.
- Mobilization and demobilization flights to all the scholars (between the home country and Abu Dhabi) for full-time overseas international students, subject to approval.
- Coverage of UAE visa application fees for full-time international students of all levels.
PhD Program:
There are 4 different levels of Khalifa University PhD scholarships. These levels are divided into Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, and Tier IV.
- Tier I and II students will get full coverage of tuition fees. While Tier II will get a 75% waiver on the tuition fee and Tier IV will get a 50% tuition fee waiver.
- A basic monthly stipend of 20,000 AED will be provided to Tier I, II, and III only.
- An additional monthly allowance of 20,000 AED will be provided to tier I scholars and tier II scholars will get an additional allowance of 10,000 AED.
- Scholars of all levels will get textbooks from the University
- Tier I, II, and III scholars will get support to attend international research conferences, subject to approval.
- Medical insurance coverage for full-time international students sponsored by Khalifa University will be provided to scholars of all levels.
- Mobilization and demobilization flights (between the home country and Abu Dhabi) for full-time overseas international students, subject to approval from all scholars.
- Scholars of all levels will get coverage of UAE visa application fees for full-time international students.
- All the students must be committed to work with Khalifa University or a nominated entity upon graduation for a period equivalent to the period of study. The University reserves the right for any reason not to offer the student a post after graduation.
