Eligibility Criteria of Maastricht University Scholarship 2025:


  • All applicants must be under 35 years of age as of 1 September 2025.
  • Applicants must possess citizenship in a non-EU/EEA country, Switzerland, or Surinam and meet the prerequisites for getting an entry visa and residency into the Netherlands.
  • Applicants should not hold dual nationality from an EU/EEA country.
  • They must have applied for admission to a full-time master’s program at Maastricht University (participating programs) for the academic year 2025-2026.
  • Furthermore, applicants must satisfy the specific admission prerequisites of the respective UM master’s program to which they have applied.
  • They must not have previously enrolled in a degree-seeking higher education program in the Netherlands. Applicants who have engaged in exchange programs in the Netherlands are eligible to apply for the NL-High Potential Scholarship 2025 at Maastricht University.
