Japan New Entry on Foreign Students Update
Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has announced the increment of admittance of international students from 5,000 to 7,000 from March 14th. According to the prime minister, there will be a gradual increase in the number of international students while observing the status of domestic and foreign infections in the future.

With this new measure, the process of “Enkatsu Ryugaku Nyugaku Skiimu” (Smooth Student Entry Scheme), will be implemented from March 14th, 2022, with a great deal of prioritization for students entries on weekdays when business entries are low.
