Applications for the McDonald Fellowships 2023 are open now. The Multiple Sclerosis International Federation MSIF funds the McDonald fellowship for a 2-year research placement. This research fellowship is in memory of Professor Ian McDonald. McDonald Fellowships allow multiple sclerosis researchers from low and middle-income countries to conduct research without worrying about finance. This fully funded research fellowship will allow researchers to work in a research institution outside their home country. The fellowship can be virtual or in person due to the pandemic. Participants of this fellowship will gain expertise or knowledge by participating in joint research projects. If you are an early-stage researcher working on research related to any Multiple sclerosis field, then do not miss this amazing opportunity.

Early-stage researchers from low or middle-income countries can avail this amazing fellowship for research. Applicants working on the project or studying in low or middle-income countries are encouraged to apply. If your study field is relevant to multiple sclerosis and you want to work in a research institution outside your country, apply for this fellowship. This is an international opportunity for researchers. Researchers from developing countries will get a chance to work or study on an international platform. They will collaborate on projects with international organizations. McDonald fellowships will help in developing the linkages and bonds of developing countries. After completion, fellows will return to their home countries and work for their home countries’ development. Fellows will get a chance to increase their social linkages. This fully funded fellowship is designed for candidates who want to work on an international platform.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is the most common central nervous system disease (brain and spinal cord). Right now, more than 2.8 million people from all over the world have Multiple sclerosis MS. Multiple sclerosis is thought to be a combination of several genetic and environmental factors. MSIF is working to decrease the number of people affected by this disease. That is why they are providing this fully funded fellowship for research fields related to MS. This fully funded international fellowship 2023 is for those who need help to afford to get research experience at the international level and in global dynamics. This opportunity will provide the candidates to use the newly developed expertise and advanced techniques for MS research. This program will increase patient care in low and middle-income countries. The McDonald fellowships are of two types. The first is the MSIF-ECTRIMS McDonald Fellowship, awarded in partnership with ECTRIMS (European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis). The other one is the MSIF-ARSEP McDonald Fellowship, awarded in partnership with ARSEP, an MSIF member.

The McDonalds Fellowship 2023 is working to make people aware of multiple sclerosis, its types, causes, symptoms and advanced knowledge of multiple sclerosis. The trained researchers will get back to their country and help their country in the medical field. The fellow must submit a short report at the end of the first year of the fellowship. The second-year funding of this fellowship depends on the submission of this report. The global opportunity will provide researchers with an amazing platform for research at international laboratories. The research fellowship program will help fill the gaps in the research of developing countries, help develop techniques to measure research impact and strengthen the MS organizations and other related networks.
